What is something that you learned from the people sharing their experiences in these videos?
I watched all the videos and despite their short form I find to carry a very strong message. Most importantly, they show the different ways people from all types of backgrounds use technology. Some examples stood out to me more than others, such as text-to-speech or keyboard accessibility. Seeing how inconsiderate system designs stand in the way of people interacting with them really allowed me to see design from their perspective. I realized how easy it is for me to forget that many people rely on accessibility features in everyday life. These videos really motivate me to proactively ensure accessibility in my designs.

Features that can be implemented through the use of design software
Managing the keyboard functionality. There are specific aspects of keyboard functionality that can make full accessibility not attainable. Therefore, designer of a service should update the settings with particular care that doesn’t interfere with the accessibility software used by some people.
Features that needs to be designed on its own
Video/Audio recordings. They must be recorded or transcribed separately by the author, thus designed on their own.
Feature that I haven’t previously considered part of web accessibility
I was not aware of the standards when it comes to text and color. Particularly, the 4:5:1 contrast ratio if the text is at least 24px (and normal text) and a ratio of 3:1 for size of at least 19 px (or bold text).
Updating the WordPress site
I expected a lot of potential problems with my site but I was happy to see that there were not many. Most notably, I needed to add alternative text to the images. The accessibility checker was also concerned about my color scheme, but it seems that it did not compare the right components, yielding incorrect decision. Therefore, I compared the colors myself, ensured appropriate font size and checked site’s color visibility for different color perception disorders. I really like how the plugin integrates with WordPress functionality as it does not complicate the experience of site edition
